Announcing Detroit Virtual ATC

Filed under: Flight Simulator News — admin @ 8:19 am
Detroit Virtual Air Traffic Control was created for enthusiasts around the world to get together in a realistic online environment and experience what a real world pilot or air traffic controller would go through during the course of a flight or an entire day of air traffic control operations. Created in conjunction with the sessions ran on the GameSpy server for Flight Simulator X, and in an attempt to get people of all ages interested in a "Realistic Flight Environment", we now support FS2002, FS2004 and FSX in one shared server to have a more diverse community. This not only helps bring multiple communities together in our family type environment, but it also allows those who do not have the means to build a "Super Computer" to enjoy flying or controlling in a lag free environment. At Detroit Virtual Air Traffic Control, you can choose to fly as a pilot or you can become a certified Air Traffic Controller, meaning you can fly or control anywhere in the world. During one session, you can control or fly with an unlimited amount of aircraft at any given point. Our objective is to make your Flight Simulator experience "As Real As It Gets!" Here you will learn everything from the basic rules of flying in controlled airspace to getting established on the most difficult of instrument approaches, as well as controlling at any airport of any size assuring you get a taste of what its like to be a real world pilot or Air Traffic Controller.
