With the addition of Belém’s historic district as a major change and its detailed 3D representation including the Ver O Peso Market, Forte Castle and Casa das Onze Janelas (house of eleven windows), the simulator pilot can now immerse themselves in a wonderful Latin-American environment. Belém’s Val de Cães is an important International Airport located at the mouth of the Amazon and was instrumental in the development of routes from Brazil to North America and the Caribbean. Today Ruud Faber announced the release of the spring season textures for Asia. It’s a package of over 320 replacement textures for the FS2004/2 Flight Simulators. According to the release “FScene Asia is absolutely is the most exciting FScene project. It took Ruud Faber more that eight months of experiments and - of course - mastering problems to give this complex continent the best of the best. FScene Asia now adds the ultimate 3D impression of flying over the famous sawas or rice terraces. Lots of Screenshots are available at the FScene website.”
The development team at Ostwest has made available for download the scenery for Vilnius International Airport in the capital city of Lithuania. Features present are AI compatibility, realistic textures including the runway, static objects such as buses, cars, VOR, ILS, and aircraft parking places with true-to-life placement of taxi lines.
The new version 2 of LFLE “Challes-les-Eaux”, which is a few kilometers from Chambéry, Savoie, France, is now available. The principal feature of this release is the area extended to 150 km² around the airport. You wil find photo scenery, seasonal effects, personalized autogen, accurate mesh, 3d objects, and thermal condition for gliders. Aircraft Flight Dynamics designer, Pedro Oliveira, is proud to announce version 2.2 of his scenery: Project Lisbon Photoreal (PLP). The scenery itself is a very accurate photoreal presentation of Lisbon city, Portugal, based on real photographs and GPS measurements. The scenery also includes an accurate design of Lisbon airport (LPPT), whose ground was depicted from real charts effective for year 2005, the first successful LPPT ground depiction, with accurate taxiway design, gates and aprons. ISD Project announces the release of their latest product, Rome Fiumicino 2005 (FCO/LIRF). Fiumicino is the largest and busiest airport in Italy as the Alitalia hub, and is well-served by many world airlines. The scenery features a very detailed reproduction of buildings, ground signs, taxiway markings, animated gates and fingers, safegate, marshallers. In addition, the release is fully AI compatible and includes a latest generation AFCAD allowing the simultaneous use of non-parallel runways, not to mention customized and handpainted textures to obtain the best as quality and reality.

The Hellas Scenery Project (HSP), an AVSIM Partner, has released freeware scenery for FS2002 and FS2004 covering Athens - E. Venizelos Airport (ATH/LGAV). LGAV is the capital airport in Athens, Greece which replaced Hellenikon (LGAT) on March 2001, and served the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Visual Flight have announced a new version of Visual Flight London cityscape. Latest release brings a detailed version of the River Thames, providing the geographically accurate base that the rest of the scenery requires. In addition to changing the course of the river, the new version traces the outline of all docks, marinas and tributaries to fit with the 3D features provided by the rest of the scenery. This is of particular interest at London City Airport where there is a drop of over 2m to the waters of the docks surrounding the runway on all sides. IN addition, the scenery can now be used by all users, not just those who have VFR Terrain or VFR Photographic Scenery as required by the existing version.
Visual Flight London contains approx 50 sq miles of detailed, custom designed, individual 3D objects including the top 100 tallest buildings, all major and historic landmarks, all bridges across the Thames, plus a superb rendition of London City Airport and the London Air Ambulance helipad on top of Royal London Hospital and over 7,500 custom designed 3D objects places all over the scenery.
